BLACKBERRY LILY - Belamcanda chinensis (Seeds per Packet: 15+) Also known as Leopard Lily. This beautiful perennial flower not only produces lovely flowers, but perhaps the best and most mysterious part of the plant is the seedpod which opens to reveal what appears to be a large blackberry but is actually a cluster of bright shiny black seeds!! Plants can bloom the first year from seed if planted early, or if started indoors. For best germination, store the seeds in a refrigerator to prechill for 2-4 weeks before planting.
